Dancehall artiste Popcaan has announced that he will be launching his next album in Ghana, Africa.
He made the announcement on Twitter, but revealed no further details.
Popcaan recently hinted that a new album is coming, in an Instagram post. This is set to be the follow-up to his ‘Fixtape’ effort, which was released in August of last year.
The ‘Unruly Boss’ Popcaan surprised fans earlier this year when he announced his purchase of a $5.5 million home in Ghana.
He joined a fairly long list of celebrities who have put their money where their mouth is in that regard. In the past and in recent times, several artistes have courted the notion of the return of black people to the motherland of Africa.
Ghanian President, Nana Akufo-Addo, in a visit to Jamaica in June of last year, invited Jamaicans to come to the West African country to celebrate the “Year of Return” and commemorate the occasion of 400 years since the first African slave was shipped from the country to the Americas.
