Kanayo: Don’t ever mistake old age for longevity

He warned youths especially between the ages of 25 to 45 to be mindful of the things they commit themselves to bearing in mind that ‘old age isn’t longevity.’

Veteran actor Kanayo O. Kanayo has addressed youths, leaving with them deep words of wisdom to ponder on.

The lawyer, in his address via a video on his Instagram, began by asking a question which he provided a response to based on his conviction.

Kanayo, speaking on longevity, argued that it is not a blessing for all as many may presume because, God oftentimes elongates peoples’ lives just to penalise them for all their misdeeds committed during the youthful days.

He warned youths especially between the ages of 25 to 45 to be mindful of the things they commit themselves to bearing in mind that ‘old age isn’t longevity.’

The popular movie star said: “There’s a line of thought that has been crossing my mind for a long time now and I need to share it with you.

“I have noticed very critically that God has a reason for everything He does. Do you think everybody who’s old has longevity in his lineage? Me think otherwise.

“Some people are kept by God to serve out their punishment of what they did when they were younger.

“So when you see many old men walk around you, don’t think it’s longevity. God is punishing them for what they did to humanity, to people’s wives when they were reigning.

“It’s just like those who are in the Civil Service in Nigeria. When they are there, they don’t believe there’s a life after office. They play God and God deals with them.

“So don’t ever mistake old age for longevity. Be careful of what you do when you between the ages of 25 and 45. God bless you!”
