Burna Boy: I thought I’d die before 30

The artist took to his Instagram story to reveal he once thought he won’t live to see age 30.

Grammy Award winning musician, Burna Boy, in his post birthday appreciation message said he once thought he would not live to see his 30th birthday.

Burn Boy, who turned 30 last week, disclosed this in his Instagram story, appreciating his fans and everyone who made his birthday a memorable one.

“I really wanna thank everyone involved in making my birthday special. This birthday really meant a lot to me. I remember a time I wasn’t sure I’d even see age 30. From the bottom of my heart, I appreciate everyone who went out of their way to make my day,” Burn Boy said.

“Thank you to every club we went to. Thank you to everyone in Miami who held us down. Thank you to everyone back home and all around the world who celebrated me even in my absence. May you all be celebrated the same way. Love you all,” he added.

Burna hit the limelight in 2013, when he released his first studio album, “LIFE” — an acronym for “Leaving an Impact For Eternity.”

He followed the release of LIFE with two albums; “Redemption” in 2015 and “Outside” in 2018 that included Kanye West endorsed song, “Ye”, which has over 129 million views on YouTube.

In March, months to his 30th birthday, Burna Boy’s ‘Twice as Tall’ won the Grammy under the Best Global Music Album category
